TITLE:  800 plastic bottles.

WHAT The chair is completely made from recycled plastic (HDPE) waste and is handmade using basic household appliances - to show how simple plastic recycling at home can be. The chair consists out of about 800 milk bottles.

HOW The plastic was melted in an electric oven and then compressed into blocks using a mould. The blocks are then glued together with a jig for support, and machined by a robotic arm CNC.

WHY: The project aims to depict plastic as a precious, hand-crafted material. This is why we should stop treating plastic disposably - and how it’s easily turned into something with longevity.
